Qualifications

• Bachelor's or Master's in Chemistry, Cosmetic Science, Chemical Engineering, or related field.
• Minimum of 5 years in cosmetic formulation with a strong product launch portfolio.
• Deep knowledge of cosmetic ingredients, functions and interactions.
• Experience with emulsions, suspensions, solutions and powders.
• Familiarity with testing methods (stability, preservative efficacy).
• Strong regulatory knowledge for global cosmetics compliance.
• Excellent problem solving and communication skills.
• Proficient in lab techniques and equipment.
• Ability to work independently and manage multiple remote projects.

Responsibilities

• Develop innovative cosmetic formulations for skincare, haircare, and color cosmetics.
• Conduct benchtop formulation trials and troubleshoot issues.
• Research new raw materials and technologies for product applications.
• Ensure formulations meet FDA/EU regulations and safety standards.
• Scale-up from lab to pilot plant and full production.
• Collaborate with R&D to define objectives and timelines.
• Conduct stability and efficacy testing on formulations.
• Prepare detailed technical documentation and safety data sheets.
• Work with marketing to understand trends and consumer needs.
• Stay updated on literature, patents, and competitor products.
