Job summary

EmergencyMD is seeking an experienced R&D Chemist to design and optimize cosmetic formulations, leveraging benchmarks and customer briefs. You will supervise a lab team and coordinate with QC, QA, and Production to ensure safe, scalable products.

The role requires strong knowledge of cosmetic regulations, 5+ years in skincare/haircare formulation, and the ability to drive process improvements while maintaining quality and safety standards.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Chemistry or Cosmetic Science required; 5+ years in cosmetic skincare/haircare formulation.
• Experience with regulatory compliance and cGMP in cosmetic labs.
• Proven ability to supervise lab personnel and coordinate cross-functional teams.

Responsibilities

• Research and develop innovative cosmetic products based on trends and briefs.
• Reverse-engineer current marketed products and support formulations.
• Collaborate with QC, QA, Customer Service, and Production to ensure quality and scale-up.
