Job summary

Jobgether, acting on behalf of a partner company, seeks a Corporate Controller in the United States to lead the corporate accounting function and ensure reporting integrity. You will oversee the accounting team, manage the monthly close, and collaborate with Finance and operations to drive accurate financials.

This remote-first role emphasizes internal controls, process improvement, budgeting and forecasting, cash management, and coordination with external auditors.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field or equivalent experience.
• 7–10+ years of progressive accounting experience with leadership responsibilities.
• Experience overseeing general ledger, financial reporting, accounts payable/receivable, reconciliations, and month-end close.
• Strong GAAP knowledge and financial reporting practices.
• Experience leading accounting operations and improving processes.
• Ability to coach and manage a high-performing accounting team.
• Excellent analytical, organizational, communication, and problem-solving skills.
• CPA designation is preferred.
• Experience with external audits and ERP/cloud-based accounting systems is a plus.
• Experience supporting budgeting/FP&A; remote work experience is advantageous.
• Must be based in the United States; certain states are excluded for compliance.

Responsibilities

• Lead, coach, and develop the Corporate Accounting Team and drive accountability.
• Establish departmental goals, performance metrics, and provide technical guidance.
• Plan, prioritize, and delegate accounting activities to meet deadlines and quality standards.
• Develop and maintain accounting policies, internal controls, and procedures.
• Oversee general ledger activities and accurate recording of financial transactions.
• Own monthly, quarterly, and annual close processes and reporting.
• Review balance sheet reconciliations and monitor cash, AR, AP, and working capital.
• Prepare monthly financial statements for leadership and shareholder reporting.
• Ensure GAAP compliance and data integrity.
• Lead annual external audits and coordinate documentation.
• Monitor daily cash and collaborate with FP&A on forecasting and analysis.
• Provide guidance to operational leaders and work with IT on system improvements.
• Identify opportunities to streamline processes and strengthen controls.
• Partner with Finance on budgeting, forecasting, and ad hoc analyses.
