Job summary

Mazda North American Operations is seeking a Corporate Audit Manager to lead audits, risk assessments, and ITGC testing across MMA, MCI, MMSCO and MCOL. You will develop staff, maintain audit standards, and advise leadership on controls and risk. Strong GAAP knowledge and public accounting background are preferred.

The role requires extensive auditing experience, collaboration with Mazda Corporate GLAD, and the ability to communicate with senior management across North America.

Qualifications

• 7+ years experience managing audits within internal audit functions or related accounting roles.
• Bachelor-level degrees in accounting, business, economics or finance required.
• CPA or CIA required upon hire; CISA required upon hire.
• Equivalent mix of education/experience may be considered.

Responsibilities

• Lead and manage corporate audits including J-SOX ITGC testing.
• Prepare audit risk assessments and long-term Audit Plan updates across entities.
• Deliver audits and projects on time, support market expansion.
• Ensure workpapers/audits meet Corporate Audit Standards and IIA GAAP.
• Oversee audits of operations and third-party vendors.
• Partner with management to identify root causes and remediation.
• Evaluate design and operating effectiveness of internal controls; monitor remediation.
• Provide advisory insights into emerging risks and governance.
