Cognizant is seeking an experienced Mainframe Developer to support core banking applications and mainframe environments. You will design, develop, and enhance COBOL-based systems, with emphasis on deposits, loans, customer and account management, and general ledger modules.

Qualifications
- 5+ years of hands-on mainframe application development in COBOL/JCL/VSAM.
- Strong Core Banking experience in deposits, loans, customer & account management, general ledger, and tax systems.
- Experience with Endevor, Xpediter, and Easytrieve.
- Knowledge of CICS or IMS preferred.
Responsibilities
- Design, develop, enhance, test, and maintain mainframe applications for core banking operations.
- Analyze requirements and translate them into mainframe solutions.
- Develop and support batch jobs using COBOL, JCL, VSAM.
- Debug, troubleshoot, fix defects, and provide production support.
- Collaborate with analysts, architects, testers, and stakeholders on enhancements.
- Participate in code reviews, SIT/UAT support, and deployment activities.
