Job summary

Ammega seeks a Conveyor Belting Application Engineer to serve as a technical and application resource for the Americas. You will work with Sales, customers, Product Management, and Engineering to provide application support, product recommendations, troubleshooting, and design guidance for conveyor belting solutions.

The role is customer-facing and field-oriented, involving site visits, surveys, retrofits, trials, and hands-on training, with up to 40% travel.

Qualifications

• Bachelor of Science in Engineering or related technical field is preferred.
• 1–3+ years of experience in application engineering, technical sales, product support, conveyor systems, or industrial manufacturing.
• Proficiency with SolidWorks or CAD software is preferred; experience with Salesforce (SFDC) or similar case-management systems is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Provide technical and application support across the Conveyor Belting portfolio for Sales, Customer Service, distributors, OEMs, and end users.
• Partner with customers, Sales, and Engineering to assess equipment needs and retrofits.
• Recommend conveyor belting solutions based on application requirements and operating conditions.
• Demonstrate how recommendations meet customer requirements and differentiate from competitors.
• Support customer projects and conversions through technical review and field support.
• Participate in customer site visits, surveys, trials, installations, and on-site troubleshooting.
• Document technical requests, recommendations, and project activity using established systems.
