Job summary

Cognizant is seeking a Conversational AI Platform Engineer to design, develop, and deploy enterprise-grade AI solutions, including voice and chat bots, on AWS. You will work with AI engineers, architects, and stakeholders to deliver robust, scalable AI-powered applications and agent orchestration patterns.

The role emphasizes hands-on development of Generative AI, LLM apps, and multi-agent workflows, with a focus on security, observability, and cost efficiency.

Qualifications

• Hands-on experience developing Conversational AI and Agentic AI platforms using AWS Bedrock and Lex.
• Experience building production-grade Generative AI solutions with LLM apps and agent workflows.
• Strong background in voice/chat bot design, intents, prompts, and NLU.
• Extensive AWS cloud development experience (Lambda, S3, DynamoDB, API Gateway, IAM, CloudWatch).
• Experience securing enterprise AI apps with guardrails, data protection, and access controls.
• Ability to monitor, troubleshoot, and optimize AI agents in production.
• Familiarity with AI analytics, agent evaluation, and bot performance tuning.
• Experience using AI-assisted development tools (GitHub Copilot, ChatGPT, etc.).

Responsibilities

• Design, develop, and deploy conversational AI platforms and bots on AWS.
• Build Agentic AI applications with Bedrock, AgentCore, and Strands SDK.
• Develop Generative AI apps using tool calling and multi-agent workflows.
• Create intents, conversation flows, prompts, and NLU models for effective UX.
• Monitor, optimize, and improve AI agents for accuracy, latency, and cost.
