Job summary

Amazon is hiring a Control Frameworks Architect to improve reliability and performance of hardware like conveyors, sortation systems, scanners, cameras, and SCADA devices. This is a remote role supporting North America operations.

You will lead design, startup, and troubleshooting efforts with maintenance, project teams, and safety groups; assess PLC/PC controllers, Ethernet networks, DeviceNet, Profibus, servo drives, and related drive systems.

Qualifications

• Four year degree or 3+ years of relevant experience.
• Ability to work flexible shifts (nights/weekends) as needed.
• Strong collaboration across maintenance, design, and operations.

Responsibilities

• Direct and plan work activities for control frameworks specialists.
• Lead design, startup, and optimization of control systems across facilities.
• Analyze PLC/PC controllers and networks (Ethernet, DeviceNet, Profibus).
• Coordinate with maintenance, project teams and safety groups for execution.
