Job summary
SwissBorg is seeking a Controlling Intern to join our Finance team for a one-year, fully remote internship. You will work on budgeting, reporting and financial analysis to support decision-making in a fast-growing, regulated crypto company.
You will gain hands-on experience with monthly consolidation, expense reviews, variance analysis, and HR/software spend control while learning about AI tools and automation in finance.
Qualifications
- Strong numerical/analytical skills are required.
- Attention to detail is essential for accurate budgeting and reporting.
- Proactive approach: ask questions, propose solutions, and learn quickly.
Responsibilities
- Assist the monthly financial consolidation: verify inputs and ensure figures tie out.
- Review expense requests against policy and budget, flag anomalies and follow up with requesters.
- Track actuals against budget, keep reporting up to date and highlight variances to the team.
- Run cost analyses and deep dives, turning numbers into clear findings and recommendations.
- Focus on HR controlling (headcount, payroll, people costs) and software spend (licences, subscriptions, vendor costs).
- Control credit card expenses.
- Help improve controlling processes along the way.
