Job summary

Ascension is seeking a remote-based professional to lead category negotiation strategies within The Resource Group, ensuring end-to-end contract lifecycle alignment with financial objectives. You will synthesize market data and provide actionable insights to drive strategy and value delivery.

The role requires leadership experience, education in a relevant field, and experience in healthcare supply chain management or GPO environments.

Qualifications

• Minimum requirements: High School diploma or equivalent with 3 years of cumulative experience OR an Associate's/Bachelor's degree with 2 years of cumulative experience OR 7 years of relevant experience.
• 3 years of leadership or management experience preferred.

Responsibilities

• Lead the development of comprehensive category negotiation strategies and manage the end-to-end contract life cycle to ensure alignment with organizational and financial objectives.
• Oversee synthesis of market trend data and research to provide guidance and actionable insights for innovation and continuous strategy improvement.
• Facilitate communication of recalls/alerts, benefits and educational opportunities, contract announcements, and other communications while reflecting The Resource Group's values with suppliers and participants.
• Engage end-users and stakeholders to inform strategies and achieve consensus on contract awards, ensuring contracts meet clinical and operational standards.
• Regularly review contract performance with onsite teams to maximize value delivery and proactively communicate relevant information.
• Manage associates through hiring, training, onboarding, development, and coaching.

Education

High School diploma equivalency with 3 years of cumulative experience

Associate's degree/Bachelor's degree with 2 years of cumulative experience

7 years of applicable cumulative job specific experience
