Job summary

Jefferson Wells is seeking Accounting professionals for contract/consulting roles in the United States. Most projects are remote, with some hybrid or local work in the metro Philadelphia area. Compensation is W2 hourly based on experience: $50–$85 per hour.

BS degree in Accounting or Finance.
CPA certification preferred.
Understanding of GAAP.

Responsibilities

Perform month-end, quarter-end, and year-end close.
Organize and update financial records as needed.
Analyze transactions and prepare reports.
Perform regular, detailed audits to ensure accuracy in financial documents, expenditures, and investments.
Forecast revenue and analyze profit margins.
Oversee ledger reconciliation and manage accounts payable/receivable.
Participate in budgeting processes.
Brief senior managers regularly on the company's financial status.
Liaise with Tax Accountants to track tax payments and returns.
