Job summary

Jefferson Wells is seeking accounting professionals available for contract/consulting roles. Most projects are remote with some hybrid options and local to the Philadelphia metro area. W2 hourly based on experience and client requirements: $50–$85 hr.

Responsibilities include month-end close, financial record keeping, transaction analysis, audits, revenue forecasting, ledger reconciliation, budgeting, executive briefings, and liaising with tax accountants.

Qualifications

• BS degree in Accounting or Finance.
• CPA certification preferred.
• Understanding of GAAP.
• Experience with SAP and NetSuite ERP systems.
• Advanced MS Excel knowledge (formulas, VLOOKUPs, pivot tables).

Responsibilities

• Perform month-end, quarter-end, and year-end close.
• Organize and update financial records as needed.
• Analyze transactions and prepare reports.
• Perform regular, detailed audits to ensure accuracy in financial documents, expenditures, and investments.
• Forecast revenue and analyze profit margins.
• Oversee ledger reconciliation and manage accounts payable/receivable.
• Participate in budgeting processes.
• Brief senior managers regularly on the company’s financial status.
• Liaise with Tax Accountants to track tax payments and returns.
