Job summary

Jefferson Wells is looking to network with Accounting Professionals who are available for contract/consulting jobs. Most of these projects are remote, some hybrid and local to the metro Philadelphia market.

W2 hourly based on experience and client requirements: $50 – $85 hr. Responsibilities may include month-end, quarter-end, and year-end close, organize and update financial records, analyze transactions, conduct audits, forecast revenue, and liaise with tax accountants.

Qualifications

• BS degree in Accounting or Finance required.
• CPA certification preferred.
• Understanding of GAAP required.
• Experience with SAP and NetSuite preferred.
• Advanced MS Excel skills including formulas, VLOOKUP and PivotTables.

Responsibilities

• Perform month-end, quarter-end, and year-end close.
• Organize and update financial records as needed.
• Analyze transactions and prepare reports.
• Perform regular audits to ensure accuracy in financial documents, expenditures, and investments.
• Forecast revenue and analyze profit margins.
• Oversee ledger reconciliation and manage accounts payable/receivable.
• Participate in budgeting processes.
• Brief senior managers on the company’s financial status.
• Liaise with Tax Accountants to track tax payments and returns.
