Job summary

The Loomex Group is seeking a content writer and assistant editor for a six-month remote contract. You will proofread, format, and edit marketing materials, reports, and website content, while adapting voice to fit diverse clients across divisions.

The ideal candidate has strong writing and editing skills, a bachelor’s degree in English or related field, 2–5 years of experience, and the ability to manage multiple projects with tight deadlines in a fast-paced environment.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in English, journalism, communications, or a related field.
• Two to five years of content writing/editing experience.
• Strong writing, editing, and proofreading skills.
• Ability to meet tight deadlines and manage multiple projects.

Responsibilities

• Proofread and format various content for internal and external clients, including marketing materials, reports, and digital communications.
• Write copy and edit content for a range of marketing and communication materials.
• Edit content to ensure correct spelling, grammar, syntax, usage, and consistency.
• Edit content to replace confusing phrases with simplified wording that retains meaning.
• Ensure text and images are properly formatted with captions and accurate page numbering.
• Ensure company voice is consistent across content and materials.
• Verify references, citations, and sources for accuracy.
• Write clear, concise content tailored to different clients and markets.
• Collaborate with subject matter experts throughout project stages.
• Attend meetings to provide feedback and suggest process improvements.
• Monitor project calendars and update management systems.
• Set up document templates as needed.
• Ensure documents meet Accessibility guidelines (training provided).
• Research potential RFP opportunities and assist with proposals.
