Job summary

Microsoft is seeking a Content Coordinator (Contract) to support content publishing and automate workflows across Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and AI-powered experiences. The role blends QA of templates with scripting repeatable workflows, requiring meticulous, proactive collaboration with content, design, engineering, and localization teams.

The role emphasizes hands-on publishing, automation design, and strong communication to align daily operations with broader team goals.

Qualifications

• 2-4 years of digital content publishing experience.
• 2+ years building automated solutions using Python, PowerShell, APIs, or similar technologies.
• 2+ years of Microsoft 365 applications in a publishing or operations context.
• Experience with CMS platforms, content ingestion workflows, metadata preparation, and QA processes.
• Experience consolidating scripts and building batch-processing and validation workflows.

Responsibilities

• QA checks of Word, Excel, PowerPoint templates before ingestion.
• Publish and maintain content in a CMS following established workflows.
• Support English (en-US) and localized bulk-ingestion workflows; coordinate handoffs across teams.
• Maintain operational documentation, trackers, status updates and audit trails.
• Translate repetitive tasks into automation requirements and maintainable workflows.
• Build, test, document, and maintain Python/PowerShell scripts.
• Leverage AI-assisted development tools to accelerate solution design and troubleshooting.
• Consolidate scripts into end-to-end tools and one-click workflows.
• Create dashboards and reporting for publishing workstreams and quality metrics.
• Develop documentation and user guidance for automated solutions.
• Balance automation with human review to protect quality and controls.
• Collaborate with content managers, designers, engineers, localization partners and vendors.
