Job summary

Short Elliott Hendrickson Inc. (SEH) is seeking a Construction Services Engineer to lead transportation, municipal infrastructure, and construction projects across North Dakota.

You will coordinate with contractors, clients, and regulatory bodies while ensuring project success. The ideal candidate holds a PE license or can obtain North Dakota licensure, and has experience in construction engineering, observation, and contract administration.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering, Construction Engineering, or related field.
• Professional Engineer (PE) license or ability to obtain ND licensure.
• Experience in construction engineering, observation, administration, or resident engineering on infrastructure projects.
• Knowledge of construction specifications, documents, change orders, and QA/QC.
• Strong communication, leadership, and project management skills.

Responsibilities

• Manage and deliver transportation, municipal infrastructure, and construction projects in North Dakota.
• Serve as Project Engineer, coordinating with contractors, clients, utilities, and regulators.
• Perform construction observation, contract administration, quantity tracking, schedule monitoring, QA/QC.
• Collaborate with multidisciplinary SEH teams to solve infrastructure challenges.
• Represent SEH at progress meetings, public meetings, and with local governments and stakeholders.
• Mentor construction staff and support business development through client relationships and pursuits.
• Open to candidates residing in North Dakota and travel to project sites.
