Job summary

Actalent seeks a Construction Manager to oversee retrofit, expansion, and new-build programs for large-scale fulfillment centers nationwide. You will lead design, scheduling, budgeting, and risk mitigation, coordinating with internal and external stakeholders to deliver on time and within scope.

The role requires a bachelor’s in a related field and 7+ years’ experience in construction, with strong leadership and communication skills to direct multidisciplinary teams across complex industrial

Qualifications

• Seven+ years of experience in construction or related field.
• Experience managing commercial or industrial construction projects, including retrofits and new builds.
• Experience delivering projects with a minimum size of 150,000 square feet and a budget of at least $20 million.
• Strong planning, scheduling, budgeting, and risk mitigation skills.
• Experience in at least two construction disciplines such as general contracting, owners representation, commercial development, engineering and design, or similar.
• Facilities management or related roles involving planning, design review, and project management/control of new structures and existing buildings.
• Program management experience overseeing multiple concurrent projects.
• Proficiency in preconstruction processes, including design coordination, permitting, and cost estimating.
• Experience with RFIs and site reviews to support design and construction coordination.
• Strong stakeholder management and ability to communicate project requirements clearly.

Responsibilities

• Manage preconstruction activities for retrofit, expansion, and initiative-based industrial building projects.
• Oversee design, schedule, and budgeting to align with program goals and on-time delivery.
• Set deadlines, assign responsibilities, and monitor progress.
• Ensure compliance with design criteria, policies, and internal standards.
• Collaborate with cross-functional stakeholders to drive alignment and resolve issues.
• Prepare and deliver concise status reports for upper management.
• Coordinate site information, surveys, drawings, and site visits.
• Develop lease support documentation, including site plans and phasing plans.
• Create initial construction schedules and phasing sequences.
• Develop construction cost estimates for capital requests and planning.
