Job summary

SOLV Energy is seeking a Construction Engineer for a fully remote role. You will collaborate with operations and engineering partners to implement design methodologies and engineered solutions on solar, storage, and substation projects.

Key duties include resolving RFIs, ensuring contract compliance, and leading autonomous pile driving system implementations. Strong CAD/GIS familiarity and field experience are highly valued.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Environmental Studies, Construction Management, or related field.
• 2–5 years of construction-related experience, or equivalent.
• Excellent written communication, documentation, and organizational skills.
• Aptitude for problem solving with strong attention to detail.
• Ability to work independently and in a team.
• Proficient in MS Office, especially Excel.
• Exposure to CAD/GIS and related engineering software.
• Ability to read project drawings and specifications.
• Field experience preferred.

Responsibilities

• Perform essential Construction Engineer responsibilities.
• Facilitate open communication between operations and engineering partners.
• Serve as POC for operations to raise engineering concerns and relay solutions.
• Assist operations with engineering RFI during construction.
• Resolve RFIs and other operations concerns with urgency.
• Understand SOLV Energy and client/permit design requirements.
• Develop and maintain relationships with site teams.
• Ensure SOLV EPC Contract compliance and support operations.
• Lead autonomous pile driving system implementation to save material, labor, and schedule.
• Support engineering-intensive client engagements and consultants.
• Guide project teams through design comments with consultants.
• Assist warranty team with responsibility verification for failures or installation errors.
• Develop and lead project-specific training for GPS-enabled pile drivers and tools.
• Support ongoing construction monitoring using drone technology.
