Job summary

SK+I Architecture is seeking a Construction Administration Architect to lead field coordination and document control on complex, multi-family and mixed-use projects. The role supports Principals, PMs, and staff across the firm.

The ideal candidate has 7+ years in construction, architectural/engineering registration, and strong communication skills. The position offers a comprehensive benefits package and remote work from Charlotte, NC or Atlanta, GA with travel as needed.

Qualifications

• 7+ years in the construction phase.
• Degree(s) in architecture or engineering as listed above.
• Architectural/Engineering registration; REVIT preferred.
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office required.
• Experience with multi-family, mixed-use, wood, concrete, steel and high-rise projects.
• Strong verbal and written communication; excellent management and people skills.

Responsibilities

• Manage the overall construction documents and coordinate with the design team.
• Review shop drawings/submittals for quality and design compliance.
• Answer RFIs and coordinate responses with owner and GC for cost-effective design.
• Coordinate RFI responses and submittal reviews with consultants.
• Perform bi-weekly site visits and prepare field observation reports.
• Assist PIC/Project Manager with notices, COIs, and close-out documents.
• Review proposed change orders for Owner approval.
• Review and approve monthly payment applications by contractor.
• Log submittals and documentation throughout the project duration.
• Perform CPM schedule analyses on as-built schedules to determine delay.
