Job summary

RTX seeks a Connected Equipment Engineer to lead enterprise manufacturing connectivity across Collins Aerospace factories. You will drive deployment of connectivity technologies, remove barriers to digital adoption, and act as the SME for equipment connectivity and digital integration.

Operating with significant autonomy, you will influence cross-functional decisions, contribute to enterprise standards, and accelerate digital transformation across multiple sites.

Qualifications

  • Typically requires a university degree or equivalent experience with minimum 5 years in related roles.
  • U.S. citizenship required for access to program/contract information.
  • Demonstrated experience connecting automated machinery for data collection (robotics, controls, machine vision, or industrial automation).
  • Willingness to travel internationally and domestically up to 40%.

Responsibilities

  • Serve as SME for connectivity technologies, architectures, and integration methods.
  • Lead machine connectivity strategy across factories, aligned with Digital Technologies, Cybersecurity, PMO, and Operations.
  • Own and evolve enterprise approaches for connecting automation assets using Banner hardware, Kepware/Kepserver, and industry protocols.
  • Drive deployment, maintenance, and site adoption of Connected Equipment capabilities across multiple factories.
