Analytical Mechanics Associates (AMA) is seeking a Computer Science/Engineering intern to support computer vision applications, applying CNNs and ViTs to enhance imagery during lunar landing projects.

The internship runs Sept 8, 2026 to Dec 18, 2026, with remote work available and a pay range of $23.10–$33.50 per hour. Candidates must be pursuing a degree in physics, CS, or engineering and must be a US citizen or permanent resident.

Qualifications

• Progress toward a degree in relevant technical fields (Physics, CS or Engineering).
• Working knowledge of CNNs/ViTs with PyTorch.
• Working knowledge of PSI scattering physics.
• Programming in C/C++, Python, Julia.
• Strong presentation and communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Apply computer vision techniques (CNNs/ViTs) to improve degraded imagery/video feeds for lunar landing projects.
• Iterate designs based on feedback from the engineering team.
• Produce engineering drawings and configuration-controlled CAD packages for reviews.
• Develop reports and presentations with clear guidance and comments.
• Attend meetings and workshops as needed.
