Job summary

DataAnnotation is where 100k+ experts train the world’s leading AI models. As a Chemist you’ll evaluate AI chemical reasoning, catch what’s wrong or unsafe, and write the answers a trained chemist would give.

This flexible, remote role lets you write prompts that probe mechanisms, review model outputs for unsafe steps, and deliver correct explanations with attention to conditions and safety.

Qualifications

• Graduate-level chemistry background or equivalent lab experience.
• Excellent written English for explanations and training signals.
• Ability to work across organic, inorganic, or physical chemistry domains.

Responsibilities

• Write prompts that probe chemical reasoning: mechanisms, synthesis routes, and analytical interpretation.
• Review AI output for impossible mechanisms, unsafe procedures, and misread spectra, and rate the reasoning.
• Write the correct answer when the model falls short, with proper attention to conditions and safety.
