Job summary

AWD online is recruiting for a Compliance Officer / Information Governance Officer in a fully remote role. You will manage GDPR, DSPT and ISO-27001/9001 documentation, coordinate evidence for audits, and support supplier due diligence across IT, HR and operations.

The role requires strong governance experience, attention to detail and the ability to handle multiple deadlines, with a salary of £40,000–£45,000 plus benefits.

Qualifications

• Experience in compliance, governance, information governance or audit.
• Strong organisation and attention to detail with records management.
• Ability to manage multiple deadlines and workstreams.
• Good understanding of GDPR and data protection principles.
• Confidence working across IT, HR and operational teams.
• Proficient with Microsoft 365 (Outlook, Word, Excel).

Responsibilities

• Maintain DSPT logs, DPIA registers, risk registers and audit-ready evidence.
• Support the annual DSPT submission and maintain ISO 27001 and ISO 9001 controlled documentation.
• Coordinate evidence and preparation for internal and external audits.
• Track DSARs, DPIAs and other data protection activities.
• Monitor compliance training, follow up gaps and support supplier due diligence and assessments.
• Produce reports, dashboards and management information, identify control or evidence gaps and drive actions to completion.
• Support compliance for NHS contracts, tender opportunities and evolving regulatory requirements.
