Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree or equivalent combination of education and experience.
• Experience with credit unions or banking institutions.
• Knowledge of federal banking regulations and audit procedures.
• Ability to interpret regulations and communicate findings clearly.
• Strong ability to manage multiple audits and deadlines.
• Excellent written and verbal communication.

Responsibilities

• Lead compliance audits from planning through final delivery, including comprehensive reviews (lending, deposit, BSA, ACH, SAFE Act, and website/social media).
• Coordinate audit schedules, interviews, kick-off and exit meetings, and ongoing client communication.
• Research regulatory requirements and develop clear, well-supported audit findings and recommendations.
• Prepare accurate documentation and audit reports and present findings to financial institution staff.
• Build trusted client relationships and lasting partnerships.
• Stay current on federal regulations, regulatory changes, and industry best practices.
• Maintain effective audit tools and processes and use CRM systems and other technology to improve efficiency.
