Alpheva is seeking an experienced Compliance Consultant to review complex banking compliance scenarios in a remote, project-based setting. You will assess AI-driven decisions, ensure proper distinction between policy, laws, and risk, and identify gaps in controls and due diligence.

The role emphasizes regulator-grade documentation and practical judgment expected by leaders in compliance. Projects vary in scope and hours; compensation is hourly.

Qualifications

• 8+ years in bank compliance, financial-crimes risk, regulatory affairs, or internal audit.
• Deep knowledge of BSA/AML, OFAC, KYC, consumer-compliance, or prudential-control frameworks.
• CAMS, CRCM, or comparable credential preferred.

Responsibilities

• Review complex banking-compliance scenarios involving BSA/AML, sanctions, consumer protection, controls, investigations, and regulatory escalation.
• Evaluate whether AI-generated decisions accurately distinguish policy requirements, legal obligations, risk appetite, and facts requiring further investigation.
• Identify weak control logic, incomplete customer due diligence, unsupported alert dispositions, and escalation paths that expose the institution.
• Explain corrections using defensible documentation standards and the practical judgment expected by regulators and senior compliance leaders.
