Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required.
• Minimum 2 years of coding experience in a healthcare revenue cycle setting.
• Certification: RHIT, CPC, or CCS.
• Proficiency in ICD-10-CM, CPT, and HCPCS coding systems.
• Strong medical terminology, anatomy and physiology knowledge.
• Excellent organizational and time-management skills.
• Ability to work remotely.

Responsibilities

• Review, analyze, and validate diagnostic and procedural codes from front-end coding and clinical teams.
• Apply established coding principles to optimize reimbursement while ensuring compliance with third-party policies and regulations.
• Abstract data from electronic health records to support research, evaluations, and administrative decisions.
• Act as a data source for the healthcare team and help identify patterns and trends for root-cause analysis.
• Maintain accurate patient databases to support continuity of care and operational excellence.
