OCCU, a member-owned credit union based in Eugene, Oregon, is seeking an experienced Communications and Public Relations Manager to lead our communications function and connect with employees, members, media partners and community stakeholders. This is a remote opportunity for candidates residing in Oregon.

The salary range for this role is $107,477 - $134,347, depending on experience. The ideal candidate will guide internal and external messaging, oversee a team, shape OCCU's brand voice, and

Qualifications

• Minimum of five years of progressively responsible experience in communications, public relations, or related fields.
• Proven ability to lead people, projects, or cross-functional initiatives.
• Excellent writing, editing, storytelling, and public speaking skills.
• Experience developing strategic communication plans and stakeholder messaging.
• Ability to manage multiple priorities with confidentiality.

Responsibilities

• Lead, coach and develop communications team members.
• Partner with leadership to develop and execute communication strategies.
• Provide strategic guidance on messaging and change communications.
• Oversee internal and employee engagement communications.
• Oversee member communications across channels.
• Lead public relations efforts including media relations and reputation management.
• Support crisis communication planning.
• Measure communication effectiveness and improve processes.
