Job summary
Grantmakers in the Arts (GIA) is seeking a Communications Manager to join its team. The role can be remote or hybrid, with occasional travel, and reports directly to the Vice President & Director of Programs.
The successful candidate will collaborate with senior leadership and the development and program teams. The Communications Manager will lead the development of communication plans, oversee editorial efforts across GIA platforms, and coordinate information from members and national partners.
Qualifications
- Develop and implement communication plans for GIA programs.
- Editorial oversight of GIA’s platforms including website, news feed, social media, weekly member bulletin, and blogs.
- Editorial support for the GIA Reader with the VP; manage guest submissions.
- Coordinate information from members and national partners for dissemination.
- Support communications for the annual conference.
Responsibilities
- Develop and execute strategic communications plans for programs.
- Oversee content calendars and publication across channels.
- Coordinate contributions from members and partners.
- Assist in promoting GIA readers and newsletters.
- Contribute to conference communications and logistics.
