Job summary

The Washington State Department of Commerce is seeking a Communications Lead for the Housing Division (CC4) to serve as chief strategist, planner and storyteller for Housing programs. Qualifications

• Five (5) years of combined experience and education in journalism, communications, public relations, English literature or related field.
• Track record of earning positive media coverage preferred.
• Past work in housing communications or government agency preferred.

Responsibilities

• Plan and direct communication strategies for the Housing Division to raise awareness of Housing programs.
• Develop long-term communications planning calendars and objectives for the division.
• Advise staff on effective external communication to meet Housing program goals.
