Job summary

BGIS seeks a Commissioning Agent to design and review commissioning plans for critical power and HVAC systems. You will oversee startup policies, perform QA/QC on installations and coordinate with vendors, clients and contractors.

The role requires strong communication skills and the ability to travel nationally and internationally as needed. The ideal candidate has 7+ years in electrical or mechanical commissioning, an AA degree or equivalent, and proficiency with AutoCAD, MS Word and MS Excel.

Qualifications

• 7 years of industry experience in electrical power distribution or mechanical systems or both.
• AA degree, military training or equivalent work experience.
• Experience diagnosing and solving construction and operational problems.
• Excellent written and oral communication skills; ability to work under pressure.

Responsibilities

• Perform design reviews of systems.
• Develop, oversee and write startup and commissioning policies and procedures.
• QA/QC of the equipment installation.
• Review and analyze data and prepare technical reports.
• Maintain effective communication with clients, contractors and project team members.
• Travel to client locations for training, meetings and in-person events.
