Job summary

SKAN US, Inc. in Raleigh, NC, is seeking a Commissioning Automation Engineer Manager to lead a growing team responsible for commissioning SKAN equipment and related automation processes.

This role reports to the Director of On-Site Activities and offers remote work options for eligible tasks. You will mentor engineers, develop goals, coordinate field commissioning at customer sites, and ensure GMP-compliant code and documentation.

Qualifications

• 5–10 years of experience in automation activities.
• Bachelor’s degree in engineering or related field.
• Proven experience leading and managing engineering teams.
• In-depth SAP knowledge.
• Experience with sales.
• Strong attention to detail and precise documentation.
• Zenon knowledge is a plus.
• Basic SQL database management knowledge is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Support recruitment, onboarding, training, and development of Commissioning Automation Engineers.
• Lead and manage a team of Commissioning Automation Engineers, ensuring resource allocation and timely completion of duties.
• Serve as subject matter expert for commissioning automation engineering and customer requirements.
• Set and monitor team goals and conduct appraisal meetings.
• Perform field commissioning activities and coordinate at customer sites; troubleshoot remotely as needed.
• Experience with Virtual Machines and IT networks is preferred.
• Lead special projects as assigned by management.
• Travel 40-50% or as needed.
