Job summary

Mobilitas, a commercial insurance company created by CSAA Insurance Group, is hiring a Commercial Pricing Actuary (Mobility) - Remote. The ideal candidate will prepare analyses for insurance rating, support pricing for individual accounts, and lead moderate-complexity projects.

The role may be filled at levels IV–V, with remote work across the United States (excluding Hawaii and Alaska). You will collaborate with product management, finance, and claims while staying current with industry trends

Qualifications

• BA/BS in statistics, mathematics, actuarial science or related area and 5+ years of post-bachelor experience performing statistical and actuarial analysis
• Or Graduate degree in statistics, mathematics, actuarial science or related area and 3 years experience performing statistical and actuarial analysis
• Strong analytical and communication skills in a client-facing role
• Solid understanding of the market landscape
• Proficiency in statistical analysis and programming languages, such as: SQL, R, Python, Radar, etc.

Responsibilities

• Support commercial auto pricing, including individual account pricing and portfolio-level analyses
• Conducts actuarially sound statistical analysis by selecting appropriate data sources and making assumptions to develop pricing recommendations
• Evaluates analytical work and makes decisions considering internal and external environment
• Documents assumptions, methods, sources and considerations clearly
• Prepares actuarial findings for technical and non-technical audiences
• Mentors junior colleagues and guides peers in reviews
• Collaborates with product management, finance, claims to provide actuarial support
• Keeps up with industry trends and actuarial methods
• Develops and analyzes new methodologies for insurance rating and loss reserving
