Job summary

Mobilitas, a commercial insurance company created by CSAA Insurance Group, is hiring a Commercial Pricing Actuary (Mobility) – Remote. You will prepare and coordinate analyses for insurance rating, support individual account pricing, and lead moderate complexity projects.

This role, posted as level V, can be filled at levels IV–V. The role emphasizes pricing for commercial auto, data-driven recommendations, and mentorship of junior actuaries.

Qualifications

• BA/BS in statistics, mathematics, actuarial science or related area and 5+ years of post-bachelor experience performing statistical and actuarial analysis
• Graduate degree in statistics, mathematics, actuarial science or related area and 3 years experience performing statistical and actuarial analysis
• Strong analytical and communication skills in a client-facing role
• Proficiency in statistical analysis and programming languages, such as SQL, R, Python, Radar

Responsibilities

• Support commercial auto pricing, including individual account pricing and portfolio-level analyses
• Conduct actuarially sound statistical analyses by selecting data sources and making assumptions
• Evaluate analytical work and make decisions considering internal and external factors
• Document assumptions, methods, sources and considerations clearly
• Prepare actuarial findings for technical and non-technical audiences
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to provide actuarial support
• Follow industry developments, trends, and methods
• Mentor more junior colleagues
• Provide ad hoc analytical support to other functions
• Develop and analyze new methodologies for insurance rating and loss reserving
