Job summary

Husch Blackwell LLP is seeking a Commercial Litigation Paralegal who will support attorneys with fact investigations, witness interviews, pleadings, and research across multiple offices. The role emphasizes e-discovery, document review, and trial prep, with a focus on timely client service in a fast-paced environment.

Qualified candidates have at least 5 years of paralegal experience, familiarity with Relativity or similar software, and a proactive approach to learning new AI tools.

Qualifications

• Minimum of 5 years relevant experience.
• Relativity or document review software experience.
• Trial preparation and attendance.
• California litigation experience required.
• Associate’s degree required; Bachelor’s degree or paralegal certificate preferred.
• Significant, substantive legal-related experience may be considered in lieu of formal education.

Responsibilities

• Provide assistance to attorneys in fact investigation, witness interviews, drafting pleadings and correspondence, legal research, document preparation and production, and overall client service.
• Learn/develop technical proficiency in e-discovery database use; AI software tools; internet research; and file maintenance.
• Independently organize and manage files.
• Prepare materials for depositions, hearings, and trials and attend as needed.
• Pre-trial preparation and trial attendance.
• Prepare draft pleadings and discovery; coordinate filing and service.
• Collect and summarize records; assist with calendaring/docketing.
• Work with attorneys in multiple offices; mentor junior staff as needed.
