The ideal candidate will hold a Juris Doctor, be actively licensed in California, and bring substantial experience in commercial litigation, legal research, and case management through all stages of litigation.

Qualifications

• J.D. from an accredited law school.
• Active California State Bar license in good standing.
• Extensive experience in commercial litigation and business disputes.
• Strong knowledge of California civil procedure and substantive law.
• Experience independently managing cases through all litigation phases.
• Skilled in researching, drafting motions, pleadings and briefs.
• Experience with depositions, discovery, hearings, mediations and trial prep.

Responsibilities

• Manage a diverse caseload of commercial litigation from inception to resolution.
• Represent businesses and corporations in complex disputes.
• Develop and execute litigation strategies aligned with client objectives.
• Draft pleadings, motions, briefs, discovery requests, and memos.
• Conduct depositions, hearings, and court appearances.
• Oversee discovery including document review and interrogatories.
• Perform legal research to support litigation strategy.
• Assess claims, exposure, and settlement options.
• Negotiate settlements and participate in mediations/arbitrations.
• Maintain client communication and manage deadlines and filings.
