Platt Richmond PLLC, a Texas-based full-service business law firm, seeks a Litigation Associate to handle a broad range of commercial litigation matters in Texas and nationwide, including contract, fraud, IP, defamation, real estate, and creditor’s rights.

You will manage caseloads, draft motions and briefs, take depositions, appear in court, and develop trial strategies with mentorship from partners, while benefiting from discretionary and formulaic bonuses and a supportive team.

Qualifications

• 3+ years of commercial litigation experience involving business disputes and causes of action.
• Experience litigating commercial disputes in State and Federal Courts; creditor’s rights experience is a plus.
• Strong experience drafting motions, including TROs, MSJs, and discovery-related motions.

Responsibilities

• Manage a caseload and assist in all facets of the litigation practice.
• Draft motions, discovery, and legal briefs.
• Take fact and expert depositions.
• Appear for court hearings.
• Litigation strategy development and trial preparation.
• Take ownership of cases and tasks to drive cases forward.
• Assist partners on a broad range of commercial litigation cases.
