Job summary

Pacer Group in California is seeking a Commercial Litigation Associate to handle a broad range of complex civil and commercial matters from early stages through resolution.

The role offers direct client interaction, case ownership, and opportunities to join a growing litigation practice with exposure to trial preparation, depositions, and court appearances. 1–7 years of experience preferred.

Qualifications

• 1–7 years of civil and/or commercial litigation experience.
• Strong legal writing, research, and motion practice skills.
• Deposition and court experience preferred.
• Ability to manage multiple cases independently with supervision.
• Experience in insurance defense, business litigation, or general liability is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Manage all phases of commercial litigation matters.
• Draft pleadings, motions, discovery requests, and legal briefs.
• Conduct depositions and assist in witness preparation.
• Handle court appearances, hearings, and case management conferences.
• Manage written discovery and e-discovery processes.
• Work directly with clients, experts, and opposing counsel.
• Support trial preparation and assist at trial as needed.
