Job summary

NFP, an Aon company, is seeking a full-time Account Manager in the Charlotte, NC area to support the Account Team with full retention responsibility. You will serve as the day-to-day liaison between clients and carriers, handling contract analysis, renewal activity, and cross-sell opportunities.

This role requires at least 2 years of commercial lines experience, a property and casualty license, and proficiency with Word and Excel; EPIC experience is preferred.

Qualifications

• Strong written and verbal communication skills.
• Ability to prioritize and self‑manage workload.
• In-depth knowledge of commercial coverages and ability to communicate clearly.

Responsibilities

• Build and maintain constructive partnerships with clients by exceeding expectations.
• Provide consistent, accurate, timely communication.
• Resolve or assist with service issues/questions.
• Assist clients with coverage changes, presenting each contact as a marketing opportunity.
• Inform and educate clients about coverage, exclusions, and exposures; document electronically.
• Produce binders, certificates, policies, auto ID cards, evidence of insurance, and other related items accurately and on time.
• Monitor client satisfaction.
• Document all communication electronically.
• Market, negotiate, prepare, and analyze alternative renewal options.
• Develop written, graphic, and electronic renewal materials.
• Follow agency procedures and the agency management system.
• Pursue continuing education, professional designations, and in‑house training.
• Adhere to state laws and regulations for insurance agents.
• Assist with or complete other tasks as advised by management.
