Job summary

Insurance Office of America is seeking an Account Manager for Commercial Lines to manage a book of business, retain accounts, and support new business. You will coordinate day-to-day administration, resolve complex issues, and ensure accuracy across policy management, billing, and renewals.

The ideal candidate has 3+ years in account management or 5+ years in insurance, with active licensing and CIC preferred.

Qualifications

• 3+ years of account management experience, or 5+ years in the insurance industry.
• Thorough knowledge of insurance brokerage and client needs.
• Required active licensing; CIC or equivalent preferred

Responsibilities

• Maintain technical competence and industry expertise.
• Direct daily activities of the account management team.
• Handle customer service requests, policy administration, billing, claims, and coverage analysis.
• Manage policy expirations and renewals.
• Conduct client research, prepare submissions, negotiate coverages, and present proposals.
• Monitor delinquent accounts and collect outstanding balances.
• Maintain agency management systems and carrier/vendor platforms, ensuring data accuracy.
• Monitor activity and suspense to ensure timely completion.
• Maintain frequent, transparent communication with the account team about workload and issues.
• Deliver excellent service and anticipate needs, responding quickly to requests.
• Stay updated on company policies and procedures.
• Seek and adopt best practices to improve performance.
• Demonstrate integrity and leadership.
