Job summary

Questpro Consultants LLC seeks a Commercial Field Underwriter to manage southern MN and western WI, writing new business in the assigned territory while working remotely. You will price risks, align with company policies, and build a robust agency network.

The role requires 3+ years of commercial underwriting experience, Bachelor’s degree or CPCU, and strong communication, negotiation, and multi-tasking abilities.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree or CPCU designation or comparable education and experience.
• 3+ years commercial multi-lines underwriting experience preferred.
• Excellent communication, decision‑making, sales and negotiation skills.
• Ability to complete multiple tasks within set deadlines.

Responsibilities

• Underwrite and price risks for profit and growth in the assigned territory.
• Select and price risks; demonstrate knowledge of forms, coverage, rating plans and manuals.
• Ensure that new and renewal business fits company strategy and underwriting procedures.
• Develops and manages New Business pipeline to ensure a steady stream of opportunities.
• Manage production, profitability and relationships with all agencies in the territory.
• Monitor agency results, meet production targets and support pricing objectives.
• Serve as a resource to agents, conducting underwriting, sales, product and process training.
• Travel to agencies up to 60% to develop strong relationships.
