The role requires collaboration with project teams, knowledge of local codes, and proficiency with estimating software to produce competitive proposals while maintaining quality standards.

Qualifications

• Associate degree preferred or equivalent field experience.
• 3+ years of experience in electrical estimating for commercial projects.
• Strong understanding of electrical systems, local codes, and regulations.
• Proficiency in estimating software and general office applications.
• Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills.
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills.

Responsibilities

• Review project plans, specifications, and other documents to prepare accurate cost estimates.
• Collaborate with project managers and field personnel to gather information for estimating processes.
• Calculate material, labor, and overhead costs for proposals.
• Attend pre-bid meetings and site visits to assess project requirements.
• Prepare and submit detailed bid proposals to clients.
• Maintain relationships with suppliers and subcontractors to obtain competitive pricing.
