Job summary

ReadyEdgeGo is seeking a knowledgeable College Advisor to guide high school students and families through the college planning and application process. This fully remote role will connect virtually with students nationwide to develop thoughtful strategies and compelling narratives.

You will stay current on admissions trends, manage deadlines, and support students from grades 9–11 with a focus on balanced college lists and strong applications.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree or higher required.
• 3+ years of college counseling or admissions advising experience in a school or independent counseling setting.
• Experience advising students in grades 9–11.
• Knowledge of U.S. college admissions, including selective universities.

Responsibilities

• Provide individualized college counseling to students and families.
• Guide students through college exploration, application planning, requirements, and deadlines.
• Develop balanced college lists and application strategies based on each student's goals and profile.
• Advise students on applications, essays, extracurricular activities, and overall college preparation.
• Support students in grades 9–11 with early college planning.
• Track student progress, application requirements, and deadlines.
• Communicate with students and families regarding progress and next steps.
• Stay current on college admissions trends and requirements.
