Job summary

AIM Learning Center is seeking experienced college advisors to deliver advising packages for families in San Antonio and Austin. This remote role includes in-person options and requires you to manage goals, timelines, and package scope.

You will build college lists, coach essays, guide applications, and advise on financial aid strategies. Flexibility for after-school/evening/weekend sessions is essential, with logging in our advising platform and maintaining clear parent updates.

Qualifications

• At least 2 years advising high school students on college admissions.
• Guided students through full application cycles from list to submission.
• Bachelor's degree is required; advanced degrees preferred.
• Available for after-school, evening, and weekend sessions.
• Able to pass a background check.

Responsibilities

• Kickoff with each family to set goals, timeline, and package scope.
• College list building based on academics, interests, budget, and fit.
• Essay coaching from brainstorm to final draft.
• Application strategy and review for Common App, ApplyTexas, and school portals.
• Guidance on the financial aid and scholarship process.
• Course and activity planning for younger students on multi-year packages.
• Regular updates to parents and session notes in our platform.
