Qualifications

• Current coding certification such as CPC, CCS, RHIT, RHIA, or equivalent.
• Minimum of five (5) years of professional coding experience.
• Demonstrated expertise in ICD-10-CM, CPT, HCPCS, E/M coding, and healthcare compliance.

Responsibilities

• Provide strategic and operational leadership for coding services in the Department of Emergency Medicine and affiliated practices.
• Manage coding staff, ensure coding accuracy and compliance, and support documentation improvement initiatives.
• Optimize reimbursement through effective coding and auditing practices; act as subject matter expert for coding and documentation.
• Foster a collaborative, high-performing work environment focused on quality and continuous improvement.
