Job Summary

As a Medical Coder at LexiCode, you will join a team of coding experts dedicated to delivering exceptional coding services to our clients. Your primary responsibility will be accurately assigning codes to medical records, ensuring compliance with coding guidelines and regulations.

Essential Job Responsibilities
  1. Review and analyze medical records to identify diagnoses, procedures, and treatments.
  2. Assign accurate medical codes reflecting clinical documentation.
  3. Ensure the integrity and accuracy of coded data.
  4. Stay updated on coding guidelines, regulations, and best practices.
  5. Collaborate with healthcare professionals for documentation clarification.
  6. Participate in audits and quality initiatives to improve coding accuracy.
  7. Maintain productivity while adhering to quality standards.
  8. Uphold patient confidentiality and HIPAA compliance.
Minimum Qualifications
  1. Possession of AHIMA credentials (RHIA, RHIT, CCS, CCS-P) or AAPC credentials (CPC, COC, CIC).
  2. Minimum of 1 year experience coding Professional Fee Primary or Urgent Care.
  3. Proficiency in ICD-10-CM, ICD-10-PCS, CPT, and/or HCPCS coding.
  4. Experience with coding software and EHR systems.
  5. Strong analytical and attention to detail skills.
  6. Effective communication skills.
  7. Good organizational and time management skills.
Additional Information
