Job summary

Providence Swedish seeks a Coding Quality Educator to support clinician and coder training and ongoing department education. You will help identify and deliver education related to coding and clinical documentation improvement opportunities.

You may conduct independent or collaborative reviews/audits and provide documentation to support coding review work based on findings. This is a full-time role within a large health system focused on patient-centered care.

Qualifications

• National Certifications in coding or CDI (any listed AHIMA/ AAPC) at hire.
• 5 years' experience in medical insurance reimbursement, medical billing, and coding related to charge review and RVU work.
• 5 years' experience in reviewing patient account information, insurance explanations of benefits, and financial records.

Responsibilities

• Assist with clinician/coder training and ongoing department education.
• Identify, develop and deliver clinician education related to coding and CDI opportunities.
• Conduct independent or collaborative clinician/coder reviews/audits and provide documentation to support the coding review work.
