Job summary

Essentia Health is seeking a Coding Quality and Denials Analyst in Fargo to analyze problematic charges and determine coding issues affecting insurance claims. You will work with staff to resolve coding problems promptly, using ICD-10, CPT and HCPCS knowledge while adhering to state and federal billing rules.

Responsibilities include data analysis, queue management, and reporting outcomes; you may lead special coding or billing projects as needed.

Qualifications

• 2 years experience coding with ICD-10, CPT and HCPCS.
• AHIMA/CPC credentials within 2 years of hire are required or applicable credential within 2 years.
• Knowledge of state and federal billing regulations; awareness of denials management.

Responsibilities

• Analyze problematic charges or accounts to identify coding issues that hinder claim processing.
• Collaborate with staff to ensure accurate and timely resolution of coding issues.
• Apply ICD-10, CPT and HCPCS coding knowledge to improve coding, billing, and denials management processes.
• Analyze data, manage work queues, and report outcomes to stakeholders.
• Perform special projects related to coding, denials, or billing as requested.
