Job summary

Amergis is seeking a Remote Coding Manager to oversee coders across medical centers and liaise with HIM staff to resolve issues. You will train new coders, conduct audits, and develop site procedures tailored to each center's policies.

The role requires formal HIM education with national certification and at least 5 years of coding and auditing experience along with prior management experience. Strong communication and organization are essential.

Qualifications

• Formal HIM education with national certification and/or CCS or CPC.
• Minimum 5 years inpatient/outpatient hospital or professional fees experience.
• Minimum 3 years inpatient/outpatient hospital auditing experience.
• Previous management experience and strong training ability.
• Good oral and written communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Oversee coders at multiple medical centers and resolve HIM issues.
• Train new coders on site specifics and access to client systems.
• Perform audits on coding staff and report results.
• Develop site procedures based on center policies.
• Manage project requests and coordinate with leadership.
