Job summary

The US Oncology Network is seeking a Coding Audit Supervisor to oversee the coding audit team from its Central Business Office in Richardson, TX. This full-time remote role supports audits, quality, and compliance to ensure accurate billing practices.

Under leadership, you will coach auditors, monitor performance, and drive standardization of audit tools and workflows, while maintaining confidentiality and meeting deadlines.

Qualifications

  • High school diploma or equivalent required.
  • Current CPC, CCS-P, or CPMA certification required.
  • Minimum of five years of certified coding and/or coding audit experience, including at least three years of professional fee coding audit experience.
  • Prior supervisory/leadership experience preferred.
  • Strong knowledge of ICD-10-CM, CPT, HCPCS, payer rules, medical necessity, and documentation standards.
  • Experience auditing E/M, infusion, medical oncology, surgery, or radiation oncology documentation.
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Outlook, Word, PowerPoint, and Excel.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • Strong organizational, analytical, and problem-solving abilities.
  • Ability to manage multiple priorities and meet deadlines.

Responsibilities

  • Supervise coding auditors and manage daily audit operations and deliverables.
  • Monitor productivity, timeliness, quality, and documentation standards across audits.
  • Review audit deliverables, findings, and trend reports for accuracy and compliance.
  • Provide coaching and guidance on coding rules, payer requirements, and audit methodology.
  • Develop and maintain audit tools, templates, workflows, and reporting processes.
  • Identify coding trends and compliance risks from audits and team feedback.
  • Escalate significant findings and operational barriers to leadership as needed.
  • Prepare audit status updates and recommendations for process improvements.
  • Assist with audit planning, sample selection, and project timelines.
  • Support onboarding, training, and competency development for audit staff.
  • Promote consistent application of CPT, ICD-10-CM, CMS, payer policies, and AMA guidance.
  • Maintain confidentiality of patient and business information.
