AuraOne seeks a Software Engineer (GitHub Contributor) for a remote, US-eligible contractor role. You will evaluate production code, reproduce failures, and craft tests the model should have written to guide improvements.

Responsibilities include grading solutions, writing minimal failing tests, and documenting recurrent issues with a rubric-backed rationale for the modeling team to target gaps. Strong debugging, testing, and code-review skills are essential.

Qualificações

• Proven ability to read, run, and debug unfamiliar code.
• Experience writing concise unit tests that capture a single failure mode.
• Familiarity with a testing framework such as pytest, Jest, or JUnit.
• Clear written reasoning in review notes to convince a senior engineer.
• Available for at least 10 hours per week.
• Prior code-review or technical-interview-grading experience is a plus.

Responsabilidades

• Run and reproduce candidate code outputs in a sandboxed environment for assignments.
• Grade software engineer review solutions for correctness, style, and edge cases.
• Write the smallest failing test that demonstrates a model's bug.
• Compare paired solutions and rank them with a written rationale tied to the rubric.
• Tag failure modes (compile error, runtime crash, off-by-one, security issue) with severity scores.
• Document recurring code-generation failures so the modeling team can target them.
• Calibrate against gold-standard reviews to keep inter-rater agreement above target.
